Do the 76ers want Lebron? That has been a subject of discussion for the last several months, with fans across the league weighing in with their opinion. Some want the best player in the world, no matter what. The downsides of having Lebron, a shorter window to win a championship, maybe having to trade pieces of their young core, and the media circus that follows, is worth it according to them. Others say otherwise. That Simmons is a hall of fame talent, and that with time him and Embiid can take to to the finals without Lebron. This is about the best problem an NBA franchise can have. The option of adding one of the greatest players of all time to a team, and some people thinking it is a bad move. This team can try to other ways. Paul George is an option at the three, and Avery Bradley could help this team as well. Re-signing their aging shooters for a season or two is not a bad option either if they could get them on team friendly deals. They had some glaring flaws that the Boston Celtics took advantage of in the Eastern Conference semi-finals, and that needs to be addressed. Embiid needs to improve his conditioning, and Simmons still has a ways to go in his development. They also got a solid piece in this years draft in Zhaire Smith, his potential is one of the highest of this years draftees.

The Sixers could also go the trade route. They have extra salary on the roster, and several guys that could be used in sign and trades. They have a gluttony of picks the next several years still, and players like Saric and Covington could definitely be trade pieces. Kawhi Leonard may be traded, and the Spurs have said that they will not trade him to a Western conferance team. Could the Sixers land him? And if they do, could they draw another superstar to their team as well? We will see in the next couple of weeks. They do not have a G.M. right now, and these next few weeks could set the future of this franchise for the next 5 years.
